Mr. Kasarda has Twenty years experience in labor and employee relations. Has counseled and represented public and private sector clients in labor relations and employee benefit fund matters, including contract administration, negotiations, arbitration, organizing, collection, and employment practices for both union and management. Conducted scores of litigations, labor and benefit fund proceedings including collection and withdrawal liability matters before the NLRB, PERB, PERC, arbitrators, state and federal courts. Counseled and advised Taft-Hartley Trust Fund Trustees on various matters concerning ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA in private practice and as in-house counsel to the New York District Council of Carpenters Benefit Funds. He has been a professional trustee for Taft-Hartley Trust Funds.

Mr. Kasarda counseled corporate clients in matters of commercial litigation, and is experienced in elder law and trusts and estates matters. He also oversees the Firm’s real estate law practice that handles residential real estate transactions involving homes, condominiums, cooperative apartments, and refinancing for clients.. Prior to Steven C. Kasarda, P.C. and The Kasarda Law Group, LLC., was an associate at O’Dwyer and Bernstein, LLP and In-House Counsel of the New York District Council of Carpenters Benefit Funds. In addition to his law practice Mr. Kasarda is a Hearing Officer for New York State and Local Employees' Retirement System and the New York State Police and Fire Retirement System. He is also a Arbitrator for the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service and New Jersey State Board of Mediation, General Panel and Special Panel for Employee Benefits and Withdrawal Liability. Prior to attending law school worked for management in the transportation industry.
